YM is specialist in nothing and curious about everything. It was during his last year of studies at ESAD Strasbourg that he discovered his passion for type design. His final year of studies gave him a year of "free time" to learn the basics of letters & code, and develop the alpha version of prototypo with Processing.

Jean-Baptiste Levée runs the digital type foundry Production Type. As a typeface designer he has designed over a hundred typefaces for industry, moving pictures, fashion and publishing. His work has won multiple awards and has been shown internationally in group and solo shows, and is featured in the permanent collections of the French national library (BnF) and the National Center of arts (Cnap); of the Newberry Library in Chicago, and several printing museums in Europe. He is also a board member at ATypI (Association Typographique Internationale). Levée curates exhibitions on typeface design, organizes research symposiums and teaches typeface design at the Amiens school of Arts & Design.

GF has a broad-eclectic professional background with experiences in diverse domains such as design & photography, advertising & marketing, sales & digital. At Prototypo he is in charge of developing our business towards a variety of clients like designers, agencies, educational institutions, new-technology companies and more to come. François is the hidden twin brother of Wikipedia: he knows everything about everything, or at least he knows just enough to convince his teammates that he does. A question about Schrödinger’s cat? He has the answer. But at Prototypo he is in charge of shipping a lot of very cool features. Since he got his engineer degree at INSA, he has been involved in many research projects in France and Japan. Ohayō François!

Julien is an engineer who goes crazy when it comes to food, like eating natto or making instant curry that lasts a whole week. Coming from the obscure world of web agencies, he's mainly working on the new app features and put his efforts in making the app as beautiful as possible. When he's not busy angrying at CSS that never works, he plays the bass guitar and fights people and monsters on online games.

Alexis has always been passionate about development. While still being a student, he worked on several indie games, a twitter extension, a redux devtools packages and much more. At prototypo, he's mainly working on the back-end and the API, using a lot of top-notch tech. He also enjoys bothering the dev team with picky code reviews, coming from his conscientious spirit and his code refactoring passion. Alexis also has an unshared love for some underground punk rock and tries to play the guitar on lunch breaks, but we like it for that too.
